Masuk kedalam famili Pinguipedidae, hidup di Dasar berlumpur dan berpasir, kedalaman 50–120 m; 6 gigi taring di baris terluar rahang bawah, 19 jari sirip dubur, sirip punggung dengan 5 duri dan 22 jari lunak, merah pucat dengan 2 baris bintik merah di sisi tubuh, 2 bintik merah di dasar sirip ekor, moncong biru pucat bergaris oranye; Pasifik Tengah Barat; sampai 27 cm.

Enter the Pinguipedidae family, live on Sand and mud bottoms, 50–120 m depth; outer row of 6 canine teeth in lower jaw, 19 anal-fin rays, dorsal fin with 5 spines and 22 rays, pale red with 2 rows of red spots on sides, 2 red spots at caudal-fin base, snout pale blue with orange lines; W. Central Pacific; to 27 cm.
